Here's a little about me...............
I am the oldest of five children.
I graduated from Westminster Christian High School in 1997. I immediately began my education at Florida International University(FIU). I graduated in December 2002 with my B.A in Special Education. I am now a certified Special Education teacher with my specialty and certification in Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities and am ESOL Endorsed. In addition, I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher with my area of expertise in Special Education Pre-K thru 21 yrs of age.
I am currently teaching in a self-contained E/BD classroom. I am also the Safety Patrol sponsor and am on a number of committees. In addition, I am one of the Project RISE Teacher Leaders at Rockway Elementary. Project RISE is a teacher incentive program geared to improving teacher's teaching strategies in order to increase student achievement.
I have been happily married for 10 years to my high school sweet heart, Carlos Perez. Mr. Perez is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a private company in Miami. I am also the mother of two beautiful girls, Victoria and Susana.
